Follow me on Pintrest

Pintrest is a dream come true! I love the way that people can post and help me, as their photographer, get a sense of their style. Of course, I use my own creativity in my photography! However, pintrest pins allow brides and grooms to communicate what they want beyond the expression of words. Personally, I use Pintrest to keep myself focused on my health and replicating unique projects that I would not otherwise know what supplies to purchase.

With as much time as we spend on the internet as a society, Pintrest is a release and helps my hubby understand the project I want him to start for our home improvements.

Lori J Photography is on Pintrest!! Follow my boards AND if you are a current client, shoot me an email to be invited to the client board to post your favorite photography.

Sneak Peak: Ohh December Babies

We started off the newborn session photo session with a baby not loving that we put her out in the air with no comforts of her warm, fluffy blanket.  But between breaks and cute snuggles with mom and dad, Baby McKenzie settled for a swaddle from Daddy and was off to sleep.  Newborn photography can be tricky and really stressful for new parents, but the M family rocked it. Enjoy the sneak peak!

What is a mini session?

What is a mini session?

Lori J Photography in Denver is currently organizing a mini session for Valentines Day 2013. During the midst of organizing this and starting to tell people, I soon realized that my photography industry lingo was not getting the response I anticipated. So, I thought that I would give everyone a little insider explanation of what a Mini Session is!

A mini session is not cheap photography but it is affordable and shortened, which may be a benefit to you and/or your family. This is especially beneficial to those of you who really don’t like taking pictures; its short and sweet for your busy life! What a great sacrifice to have a beautiful piece of art to hang up in your home

What is a mini session is NOT
·      Boring
·      Expensive
·      Time consuming
·      Cheap photography
·      Only for kids

What a mini session IS
·      Unique
·      Professional Photography
·      Shortened photography session (about 20 mins.)
·      Themed, if you choose (based on a holiday such as Valentines Day, Christmas, ect.)
·      5-10 quality images to choose from
·      Fun and casual
·      Affordable
·      Scheduled back to back
·      For any person, any family, and pets too!

Stay Tuned for the time and date for reservations for the Lori J Photography Valentines Mini Session

Great tips for wedding photos

Most brides know that The Knot always has great tips for weddings, I read The Knot magazine every month! I think that brides and grooms have a huge task in choosing their vendors, I see the process first hand. I think it is important not to settle on price. With an E-commerce economy we have, sometimes it is best to get quality over quantity or "cheap". Yes, yes that means that the craigslist person you found to do your wedding for $500 and their photos are "decent", may not be the right move. Find a photographer and other wedding venues from people you know, through local papers, and business'. It is here that you will find the true artist to cover your day.  This is not only for photographers but most wedding industry personal are creative at heart. Get to know your surrounding community and create the most wonderful day with carefree wedding bliss!!! You deserve it!

Nice to see you again

One of the perks of being a photographer is being a part of peoples lives as they grow.  Recently, I had a chance to catch up with one of my wedding couples who had a fabulous reception at the previous Invesco Field, now Sports Authority Field at Mile High.  This couple graciously suggested me to the the holiday family portrait for their family. I love not only photographing the family but getting to know everyone.  This group was a big one totaling 18 people. Between the wind and the cold, we cranked out some fabulous photos and got the family off to their holiday celebration together.
A big thanks to you all!!!! Here is your sneak peak. Happy New Year!
